Applegath Meadow came under Parish Council ownership in May 2021.

The land is a Suitable Alternative Natural Green Space required to mitigate the impact of the Applegarth Vale development on the Wealden Heaths Special Protection Area nearby.  The area provides a semi-natural environment and is designed for dog walking and informal recreation.  The paths through Applegarth Meadow link with the footpaths beyond taking visitors into Grayshott and the Golden Valley.

The undulating landscape has areas of mature trees, newer planting, and wild flower meadows.  There is an attenuation basin that is designed to have a permanently wet area but this will depend on the season.

The meadow also contains a children’s playground.
