Book of condolence and floral tributes
It is with great sadness that we learnt of the death of HM The Queen. As a mark of respect, we will observe a period of mourning and will follow national protocols.
Book of condolence
A book of condolence has been opened and this can be signed at St Luke’s Church which is open every day.
The book of condolence will close on the day following the funeral (or next working day if the funeral is at the weekend). The pages will then be bound and sent to the Hampshire County archives.
If you would like to sign the book but can not get to St Luke’s please let us know. Contact us
Floral tributes
If you would like to place flowers as a tribute to HM The Queen you can do so at The War Memorial Garden. We ask that any plastic or cellophane is removed first.
Cancellation of events
As a mark of respect to HM The Queen, a number of events have been cancelled. These include the:
- Council meetings on 14 and 19 September
- Last Night of the Proms on Saturday 10 September.
