Carriageway Repairs on Crossways Road

We have been notified by Hampshire Highways of repairs required to the surface around manhole covers on Crossways Road. Details are as follows:
Earlier this year, and following the recent carriageway resurfacing of Crossways Road, Hampshire County Council undertook works to install a specialist surround material to several manhole covers and drainage gullies along the road.

Unfortunately, there are a number of installations where the contractor has not carried out the works to the correct specification, and these need to be replaced at their cost.

The works are programmed to start on 11th June 2019 and are expected to last for up to 6 days, during which time temporary traffic lights will be in operation between 09:30 – 16:00hrs.

Information signs advising road users of the works will be erected before the start of works. A letter will be sent to local residents.
