Farnborough Airport is consulting on a proposed new planning application, and the consultation runs until 22nd October 2025. You can view the leaflet recently distributed to villagers in West Grayshott here: Farnborough Airport Leaflet.
Farnborough Airport’s new planning application does not propose increasing the total number of flights per year, which will remain at 50,000. The main changes focus on non-weekday flights, which would increase from 8,900 to 13,500 per year. The airport also plans to allow slightly more flights from heavier aircraft and to adjust how certain quieter aircraft are counted, while operating hours would remain the same. These changes could affect local noise levels and flight activity in the village, so residents are encouraged to review the proposals and have their say.
