Flats for affordable rent approved for G&DHA
Planning approval has finally been given to fourteen one and two bedroom flats at Crossways Road in the centre of the village after almost a year long process at EHDC.
“We are so pleased to announce that permission has been given for the flats, community garden and car parking following the village consultation in 2017. Thank you to everyone who strongly supported the project” says Jan Gale, Chairman of G&DHA.
The carefully considered design will reflect the Conservation Area and replace Western Lodge, Bidston and Penton with three buildings of eight one bed and six two bed flats, which will be much easier to heat and maintain as well as providing additional homes for local people who require more affordable housing to rent.
“We are working in partnership with English Rural Housing Association as our experienced developers and with Plan A, local architects in Grayshott” added Jan Gale “ We expect to start work summer 2019 which is very exciting”.
