Generous offer to repair the War Memorial grounds

We are very grateful to the local Plymouth Brethren Christian Church for offering to repair the wall and reinstate the railings at the War Memorial at no cost to the Council and its residents.  We have accepted their generous offer.

In the early hours of Sunday 22nd January we believe that a lorry misjudged its turn and caused the damage.  As the driver did not come forward we were facing a repair bill.  We were delighted to get the swift offer of help from a local resident on behalf of the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church.
