Grayshott in Bloom
Councillors, clerks and our volunteer gardeners came together on Wednesday afternoon to plant up the hanging baskets and troughs that will provide colour to our village centre this summer. Over 500 plants and 900 litres of compost are used in this effort. Planning starts early and our grower has had to battle the weather and difficulties with supplies in order to get the plants we need and at a reasonable maturity.
In addition to this week’s planting we are also grateful to the shop owners and for our volunteers that have checked the safety of the brackets. Watering will take place twice a week during the summer.
The cost of Grayshott in Bloom is shared between the Parish Council and a generous grant from Hidden Gardens of Grayshott.
Thank you to all involved.
