Help change the climate by recycling right

Last year more than 18% of recycling collected in the district was either the wrong item or unsuitable for recycling because it had been contaminated by food or something else.

This week is #RecycleWeek and we’d like you to make sure you play your part and help us to reduce the amount of contaminated recycling in East Hants.  Please make sure you recycle the correct and clean items in your bin.

Did you know that the UK saves 18 million tonnes of CO2 a year by recycling?

Recycling right is one of the easiest ways to reduce emissions.
