Liphook Golf Day raising funds for Haslemere & District Macmillan Cancer Support

wonderful day was had by members of Liphook Golf Club last week, raising funds for Haslemere & District Macmillan Cancer Support. The event was organised by Clive Foskett, a member at Liphook Golf Club, as a thank you to Macmillan for the wonderful care given to his wife. The day started with an early tee off at 7.45am with members of the Macmillan committee on hand to check in golfers and sell raffle tickets. Mr Foskett had hoped to raise £1500 at the fundraiser but today a cheque for £2147 was handed to Jose Stead, Macmillan’s local chairwoman. The committee were delighted with the days event and the support of the members of the golf club and even more thrilled that Clive hopes to make this an annual event, raising even more money in the future.
