Making a splash! New images show aquatic adventure zone

A fantastic new facility is coming to Whitehill & Bordon Leisure Centre as part of an exciting new upgrade.

Work is soon to start on an aquatic adventure zone that will give children and young people around the region the chance to have fun and become water confident.

The new extension will include a splash pad, water slides and interactive water features.

The council has agreed to dedicate £4million made up from various funding sources including money gathered from developers that must be spent on leisure facilities, East Hampshire district-wide developer contributions and borrowing, to improve this EHDC-owned asset.

Cllr Andy Tree, EHDC Portfolio Holder for the Whitehill & Bordon Area, said: “The images released by Everyone Active look amazing and really give residents a clear idea of what our community will be getting.  I am very excited to be announcing this update as it demonstrates to my fellow residents across the Whitehill & Bordon area our commitment at EHDC to deliver results, which is what we are elected as local councillors to do.

“It will not only be a great benefit to young families in Whitehill & Bordon, it will also attract visitors from outside the area – boosting our local economy.

“The leisure centre is the only town centre building the council owns directly, giving us a valuable opportunity to invest in and enhance Whitehill & Bordon.

“I look forward to the project moving into its next phase and look forward to seeing the building begin!”
