The Grayshott Society 2019 Awards
Grayshott Society Awards For Special Contribution To Village Life.
The Grayshott Society’s 10th Annual Awards Ceremony was held following their well attended 2019 AGM. The awards are in recognition of individuals, businesses and organisations that have made a special contribution to the on-going visual improvements in the village which has further enhanced Grayshott and its community.
Lady Haddon- Cave went on to say; “We had three Award winners for 2019 and the Award Plates were presented to Jon Jackson and Liam Duncan in recognition of the hard work that goes into maintaining and adding to the wonderful and magical Grayshott Christmas lights each year. The lights give villagers and many people from the surrounding areas huge pleasure in the Christmas season and The Grayshott Society was delighted to acknowledge Jon and Liams on-going contribution to village life with this award.
An award was presented to the owners of The Dog and Hair, Hannah Mason and Chris Heritage. Hannah and Chris have started a new business in a smart shop that enhances the little row of Edwardian shops within the Conservation Area on Headley Road. We wish them luck as they build their business and thank Hannah and Chris for giving us such a lovely, smart new shop front that enhances the village scene in Grayshott.
These awards were set up to be given to those whose work enhances and improves the village and all the 2019 winners most certainly achieved this.”
After the presentations, Chair of the Grayshott Society, Lady Haddon-Cave who presented the Awards explained that on coming to a decision the committee considered all nominations put forward by our members and committee and would like to thank Glenn Myers Managing Director of Grayshott Pottery for once again making and generously donating the personally inscribed ceramic Award Plates and for the use of their restaurant for this special evening for the village.
These awards were set up to be given to those whose work enhances and improves the village and all the 2019 winners most certainly achieved this.”
