The red, white and blue floral display
This year’s hanging baskets and flower beds have been planted with the Platinum Jubilee in mind. The hanging baskets are beginning to fill out whereas the planter in the Millennium Sculpture on the Village Green is already looking spectacular. Take a look next time you pass.
The colour scheme has been achieved as follows
- Platinum is provided by a grey helichrysum
- White by a calibrachoa and geranium
- Blue was the hardest to source but a pale blue calibrachoa has been used, and
- Red by a trailing begonia and geranium.
In total there are over 640 plants.
Thank you to Hidden Gardens of Grayshott for their grant of £1,600 towards the cost of providing and watering the planting and to the volunteers that helped us plant the baskets and beds.
