All residents and businesses you are invited to the Village Assembly on Friday 26th April starting at 6.30pm at The Village Hall
The Parish Assembly is an annual event – simply a meeting for all residents of Grayshott to come together to discuss matters affecting our village.
The evening will begin with refreshments and a chance to visit exhibits on matters of local interest and learn more about some of our active community organisations and clubs. This year the following groups will be exhibiting
- Grayshott Gardeners
- Grayshott Sports Clubs
- Grayshott Community Orchard Project
- Grayshott & District Housing Association
- The Queen’s Memorial design
- Village youth work
- The Community Library
- Grayshott Stagers
- Grayshott CofE Primary School
Refreshments include hot drinks provided by Grayshott Tea Party and Cheese and Wine donated by our local Plymouth Brethren Christian Church.
The more formal part of the evening will start at 7.30pm. As well as the usual Council reports of the year, the evening will then turn to current initiatives and events we feel will be of interest to all residents. These include:
New measures to improve traffic calming in the village
Implications of the EHDC Local Plan, 2021-2040 for Grayshott
Making Youth Clubs effective and appealing to the young people of Grayshott
Grayshott & District Housing Association: Past, Present & the Future
Our plans to redevelop the skate park
Events during Dementia Awareness Week
The evening ends with a questions and answers session – the Council’s opportunity to hear from you!
